Katie MurtonKatie Murton BA (Hons) attended a foundation course in Art and Design at Kingston Polytechnic (1988-89) followed by a degree course in Ceramics at Bristol Polytechnic (1989-92) and has been running her own small business making ceramics since 1993. Katie sells her work through galleries and exhibitions throughout the UK. Working with slabs of clay, Katie makes house number and name plaques as well as a range of decorative mirrors with ceramic frames and candle lanterns . Architectural ornament and mosaics inspire her designs and patterns; an interest sparked by childhood family holidays exploring cathedrals and chateaux of Europe.
